How a YURI paddle is built.

Every YURI paddle starts with a Toray T800 carbon face. Here's what sits under it, core by core.

We make five cores across four lines. Each one changes how the ball comes off the face. If you like to know what's inside before you play it, this page is for you.

Layer by layer.

Every YURI paddle has the same simple build: a carbon face on each side of the core, with the sides sealed in resin so no layer is left open. The edge guard goes on over that seal. The core in the middle is what changes from line to line.

Three choices sit on top of the core. Here's what each one does.

The face: Toray T800 carbon.

Every face on every YURI paddle is Toray T800 carbon. Toray rates T800 stiffer than the T700 grade most paddles use. It's a real upgrade from your starter paddle.

Smooth or 120 Grit.

Five paddles come smooth or with a 120 Grit surface for extra spin. The six Signature paddles have the 120 Grit surface too. The name is a nod to 120 grit sandpaper: a fine texture applied to the face grabs the ball for extra spin. Only the face changes: the core, thickness and shape stay the same.

16 mm or 14 mm.

The 16 mm models give more power. The 14 mm models give more control. Every Signature core comes in both.

A honeycomb core with a foam center set in rings.

How it plays: Power. The 16 mm Vortex Pro is our power paddle; the 14 mm adds a little control.

How it plays: Pop with control. Cobra leans to power, Tiger to control.

Charged Hive

A honeycomb core with every cell filled with foam.

How it plays: Control. It helps you aim your big swings.

The Wasp, Scorpion

Charged Hive is our Signature name for the Gen 4 Honeycomb core: the same honeycomb with every cell filled.

Shape, size and weight.

Most YURI paddles are elongated: 16.4 × 7.44 in on the Signature line, 16.5 × 7.5 in on Foam Tech and Gen 4 Honeycomb. Golden Pickle and Pink & Chic - Phat are widebody paddles at 16 × 8 in, and our lightest at 7.6 oz. Handles are 5.5 in, or 5.25 in on the two widebodies.
